This is a special opportunity to own a garage found, single owner 1987 Porsche 928 S4, with current odometer at 48,950 miles. Original sticker sheet is included, indicating a nearly $70,000 purchase price in 1987.

Vehicle details: 1987 model 928/910, color G1G1 (Guards Red), interior color code PE (tan leather, black trim), aluminum OHC fuel injected 8 cyclinder, 5 Liter, 32 Valve, 4 Speed Automatic Transmission. Power rack and pinion steering, vented power disc brakes. Upgrade options included limited slip differential, upgraded AC, seat controls.

Once removed from the original owner’s garage, the car was serviced in August and September 2020, by Bransfield Motors in Reisterstown, MD, and SSI Performance in Towson, MD. Both shops commented on both engine condition (inspected, driven, sounds great) and body (one of the best they’ve seen in 928). All engine, transmission, brake, motor oils and related fluids were drained, flushed and refilled. All hoses inspected and replaced as required. A new timing belt and water pump was installed (even though the prior timing belt had been replaced only a few thousand miles prior about 12 years earlier) as the car was in storage for about 12 years. Four new Yokohama Advan sport performance tires. Nearly $9,000 was spent and the car is in excellent operating and mechanical condition. All recent and some historical service paperwork is available.

The body is in 95% plus condition. The car was just fully detailed, including a compound, wax and polish to nearly new finish and condition. The rims are 90% + and could possibly benefit from a full refinish if you want to bring back to fully new.

All cabin mechanics work as expected. Power seat controls, window & sunroof controls, wiper controls, cruise control, full dashboard operation, headlights flip without problem, all break lights and running lights operational, trunk release works.

The cabin is extremely clean, in 90% plus condition. The dashboard and dashboard cluster is near perfect, no cracks or damage. Automatic shifter in near perfect shape. Passenger seat shows virtually no wear. Driver seat shows very minor wear. Driver door has some scuffs in the leather, but nothing through the leather. Driver’s full toolkit is in the hatchback.

What does it need? The front windshield has a 12 inch line crack in the upper quadrant of the driver’s side windshield. A new OEM can be sourced from Germany or via 928International, with an installed cost estimate around $1,750.00. The timing belt will need a re-check in about 1,800 miles (2,000 miles after installation). It could use a clean under hood bib. There really is not much else, outside of personal preference for additional expenditure. I would tint the windows.

This 928 s4 is super clean inside out. One owner, garage kept, has all the mojo a classic 1987 928 s4 can offer! The 928 s4 was one of the fastest production car imported into the United States in 1987.

Have some of the historical service records, the original window sticker, and assorted old ownership/registration paperwork. Clean Maryland title, in hand and ready to go. It is a pleasure to drive, and has been babied for 33 years.
