This coupe was properly resprayed the 1970-correct shade of Cranberry Red for added boldness. The paint has a bright shine overall, and it highlights the straight body. The legendary shape of the 1970 Chevelle looks like it was tailor-made for the black SS stripe package. The brightwork is noticeable from far, with fresh-looking chrome bumpers complimenting the shine of the paint. The power bulge of the cowl hood is a must-have on a Super Sport, and hood pins, wide exhaust tips, and correct SS badging really help get the performance look right in detail. And mag-style SS wheels are the absolute right way to announce a street-eating classic coupe.
Just like the exterior, the interior has the right muscle car appearance. Black vinyl is what we all love to see, especially when it matches the stripes on the outside. The big block inhales deeply through a Holley four-barrel carburetor and an aluminum intake. And it exhales with authority through the rumbling stainless dual exhaust. The fundamentals are also covered with newer pieces, like the brake booster, plug wires, and alternator. It's a strong-running motor, and you have the right pieces to get the power to the ground. The three-speed automatic transmission is a stout TH400 unit that feeds a robust 12-bolt rear end. Plus, there's power steering, power brakes w/discs up front, and the SS-style rear end with boxed trailing arms and a thick sway bar.
