HIS STORY : GARAGED UNTIL RECENTLY WHEN IT WENT THROUGH A STOCK MECHANICAL RESTORATION THUS ABOUT AS ORIGINAL, RUST FREE AND STRAIGHT AS AN OVER HALF CENTURY VEHICLE GETS.
$PENT THOUSANDS ON NEW INTERIOR MATERIAL, PARTS AND LABOR RESTORING THE INTERIOR WHICH IS STILL IN PROGRESS.
I JUST ORDERED THE CONVERTIBLE TOP IN DARK BLUE STAYFAST MATERIAL USED ON BENZ AND BMW WITH A MATCHING MATERIAL BORDER BELOW THE REAR WINDOW. THE STAY FAST MATERIAL WILL OUTLAST THE ORIGINAL PLASTIC TOP AND LOOK 👀 WAY MORE CLASSY. ITS RELATIVELY MORE EXPENSIVE THAN A PLASTIC TOP MATERIAL BUT I BELIEVE WELL WORTH IT. THE MATERIAL BELOW THE REAR WINDOW WAS SLIGHTLY MORE BUT MAKES IT LOOK 👀 MUCH NICER INSTEAD OF THE WINDOW GOING DOWN TO THE BODY. LOOKS NICER 👀 WITH A SLIGHTLY SMALLER REAR WINDOW. $750 FOR THE NEW TOP.
I ALSO JUST ORDERED THE CONVERTIBLE BOOT IN 1964 BLUE /
THE BOOT IS THE VYNIL COVER OVER THE CONVERTIBLE TOP THAT SNAPS IN PLACE WHEN THE CONVERTIBLE TOP IS DOWN SEE LAST PIC.
ALTHOUGH IVE ALREADY PAID FOR BOTH THE TOP AND BOOT. THERE IS A PRODUCTION DELAY DUE TO COVID.
