Used 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer evolution Evo 9 RS - cars & trucks - by owner... for sale in Palatine, IL
Vehicle Description
The car has a rebuilt title for theft recovery back in 2008, carfax available. Please don’t ask me about the details of the theft recovery. I’m not a psychic and I’ve only had the car for about 7 months.
When I got the car it had a bolt on roll cage. Since then I have removed that and completed the interior. I had most of the interior pieces from the previous owner. The car is mechanically very sound with no reliability issues. No leaks, doesn’t burn oil, or any other issues. No check engine codes.
Previous owner had done some upgrades over the years, but nothing too crazy.
The car has:
Cusco rear lsd diff
Ohlin coil overs
Engine has arp head studs and all engine seals have been redone by him
Carbon fiber front lip
I installed the rear varis bumper and had body work done to have it blended with trunk and quarters
Full catless 3” exhaust
Ceramic coated factory turbo
Whole setup is stock besides what’s listed above
She has Evo Corse 18x8 wheels from Italy, not sold in the US
Rear calipers have stainless steel pistons
Mileage: car has approximately 35k miles but cluster was rolled back during theft recovery, so it shows 2k miles. Again, car fax available.
The only funky stuff the car does is that sometimes when she’s warm, and you turn her off, and try to turn her back on, she may stall on the first warm start. But then turns right on and stays running with no problems the second time around. Again, that only happens from time to time and it’s not a big deal because she always stays running on the second try. I repeat this only happens on a warm restart. She is phenomenal on cold starts.
Also the undercarriage has taken a bit of a beating from some off-road racing by previous owner. See pictures.
