I am selling because I purchased a truck in order to move larger furniture items - my side gig is furniture restoration. Please don’t call about furniture restoration at this time. My storage area is filled with at least 6 months of work. I am not taking any new clients at this time.

The Subaru Forester is a truly amazing vehicle, especially when it comes to driving in snow. Even with A/T tires and 4-wheel drive, my new truck is no competition against the Subaru’s AWD and all-season tires. The Subaru is light weight and nimble; it feels like a car, but has full size SUV ambitions.

I initially had doubts about buying a manual transmission SUV, but have since recanted those doubts. The manual transmission makes for a more controlled driving experience, and greater connection with the road.
Additionally, the ride is quite comfortable for long drives. I have driven this vehicle to Colorado twice in the last two years. It handled the mountains and snowy conditions beautifully – I always felt confident that I wouldn’t be one of the many stranded motorists stuck on a mountain pass.

If safety is important to you, look no further. The 2010 Subaru Forester was an IIHS top safety pick.
The Subaru Forester also has high ratings from all major reviewers including Edmunds and KBB. US news gave it the number 2 ranking for affordable compact SUVs.

That’s the bulk of the good, but now for the not so good. The next section includes the two issues that I know about with the truck. I HAVE ACCOUNTED FOR BOTH OF THESE ISSUES IN THE PRICE OF THE VEHICLE. PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE THESE CONDITIONS AS LEVERAGE TO NEGOTIATE THE VEHICLE PRICE.

The above issue is not one that needs to be repaired immediately. It may actually never need to get repaired. However, I am reducing the price of the car by $1000 in the event that this problem gets worse. I feel that in good consciousness, I need to let the buyer know about this potential future issue.

I have only had three parts replaced in the last 30,000 miles:
New clutch pad at 110,000
Exhaust pipe gaskets and connections (had to be replaced when removed for clutch installation).
New variable timing solenoid at 120,000

Last routine fluids/changes:
Oil @ 120,000 miles
Transmission @ 110,000 miles
Differential @ 110,000 miles
Brakes @ ~90,000 miles (still plenty of life left)
Tires @ ~100,000 miles (good life left - see pictures)
