On paper it's a Golf, but let's be real, it's the classic VW Rabbit. Old owners even put a Rabbit nameplate on the back.
This was my dream car, but I have to leave it behind for an opportunity overseas. It's a rare combination of classic style and extreme efficiency. It's also the perfect candidate for vegetable oil conversion. Drive this car if you want to get noticed without looking like a douche.
At least that was my plan. I did my homework, got it inspected with Carchex before buying. Mileage is unknown as the odometer is frozen. Only other issues were cosmetic.
Black-on-black paint job has a few chips in it, but no rust. Heater works. A/C blows, so you should just need to recharge it. Electrics seem fine. Speakers are wired in but not fully installed yet. Stereo has an aux port for your phone. Interior is warped here and there, but mostly alright. New racing seats in the front, and one aftermarket seat in the back that can fold down for trunk access.
I just changed the oil, pressured the tires (35psi) and put in a new battery. Next priority is to change the belts. It should run smooth and light for a long, long time. These cars are known to push 50-60 miles per gallon with a diesel motor that never wears out.
