Purchased in '16 with 15k miles. I'm the second owner and have had absolutely no mechanical issues (other than a recall under warranty for a fuel pump component). It's been a second car for work. 70%+ miles have been freeway travel.
I've taken great mechanical care and change synthetic oil and filter prior to every 5k. The interior is very nice with just a small light 1/2" cut on the passenger's seat (cut from knife). I've regularly conditioned the leather and carpets. Recently serviced with RS7 coil packs and spark plugs.
This is truly a poor-man's and/or wiseman's Audi. It has so many redeeming attributes of practicality and spirit. Prior, I drove two Infiniti's over a 15 year period which were each fantastic reliable vehicles. This GTI has been no exception.
