All in complete silence. EPA estimated original range of 253 miles means most owners can get away with charging their car only once per week using existing electrical outlets. Regenerative braking uses the motors as generators to turn your forward momentum into energy that gets put back into the battery pack which saves energy as well as wear and tear on the brake components. The single-pedal driving experience is incredibly simple and far more enjoyable than standard two or three pedal driving of traditional cars.

This car was been very well maintained and adult-owned. I'm the second owner and got it via private party sale directly from the 1st owner who built and bought it brand new from Tesla. Adult owned and VERY well cared for this is one of the best examples in terms of condition and overall shape. This car includes FREE Premium Data (which you pay a monthly service fee for on most other Teslas) plus FREE unlimited Supercharging for life which is an amazing feature to be able to drive anywhere and pull up to a Supercharger and charge 100% free for life.

It also includes the balance of an 8-year and unlimited mile warranty on the battery pack and drive motors directly through Tesla which won't expire until the year 2023. These cars don't have a lot of moving parts so even when the bumper-to-bumper warranty expires you're covered for the big ticket items for a long time.

This car is the perfect blend of being able to see and buy the car today plus getting the FREE Unlimited Supercharging for Life (FUSC) and the FREE Premium Data for life that's only available on private party cars. Cars sold at dealerships and even directly from Tesla won't include these features. This is the one everyone is looking for right now because it combines the best of both worlds which rarely comes up for sale. When you buy used from Tesla, not only is the condition unknown (they don't even share actual photos) but you can't even see it prior to buying. Even then, in most cases you'll wait upwards of a month from when you put a deposit down to actually be able to take delivery of the vehicle. You may wait a month only to find that the condition of the car you've been dreaming about is awful once you finally see it in person. Yikes! On top of all of that, all cars that are traded into Tesla that previously had Free Supercharging and Free Premium data have those features stripped from the car before being resold to the next owner. Same goes for buying used Tesla from a 3rd party dealership. Be careful of used car dealerships who still advertise these features based on old outdated information that's no longer accurate because you won't get those with ANY Tesla sold by a 3rd party dealership.

The 85kWh battery pack in this car is considered the most reliable and best battery packs made by Tesla until the 100kWh packs came out in MUCH more expensive newer cars. A similarly equipped used P100D w/ similar miles will run over $25k more. The newer 90kWh packs found in the 90D and P90D cars have several revisions with various issues that were prevalent in them. Not to mention that the "90" wasn't a true 90kWh battery pack and therefore the range and power #'s were nearly identical in the real world to this P85D. Even though this car is older than the 90kWh cars it's going to be a better car long-term for less money.

(Important note: very late 2014 cars like this are basically 2015 cars in terms of hardware/software and features since Tesla upgrades cars via assembly line upgrades regularly, independent of calendar year)

One of the things that makes this car especially unique is the fact that it was built towards the end of the P85D production run which means it got hardware upgrades that were on the newer P90D cars necessary to even be capable of the Ludicrous upgrade. There's an upgraded pyro-fuse and other related hardware that didn't even exist when earlier P85D's were built. Few P85D's were made that could have Ludicrous added and even fewer still actually opted for it since it cost over $5,000 and required them to give their car back to Tesla for weeks. This all makes this a very rare bird especially when you consider that it also has the Performance Plus suspension that was only installed for a very limited time. In short, there is a few small number of windows Model S enthusiasts say are among the best versions to get. this is one of the better ones.

This car includes Autopilot with "convenience features" which means Autopilot is activated and will remain that way. Be careful because some (most) other cars for sale list "Autopilot" which means it has the hardware but all cars made after a certain date in 2014 have "Autopilot" hardware installed from the factory. Unless the previous owner paid $5,000 to have it activated the car won't actually have the Autopilot functionality. just the hardware to do it if you ever pay the thousands of dollars Tesla charges to activate it via software. This car includes all of that so if you see a cheaper car that's probably one of the large differences and your resale value will suffer greatly down the road as people become educated and realize they need this feature activated to actually use it.

Another unique bonus with this car is that it has LESS than 5% battery degradation which means that it's well under 1/3 of what most cars of this vintage would have. This is a very good thing. About 10-12% would be considered the average for a car such as this but this is a VERY special battery pack. In fact, it's one of the healthiest 85kWh packs I've ever seen. The range on 100% charge on this car is 244 miles which means the degradation from the new range of 253 miles is about 3.5% which is unheard of. To give you some reference, the only reason I'm selling this car is because I bought a P90D that's 2-years newer and it actually has LESS range than this car. That's right, two years newer and less miles plus it started life as a 90kWh pack and yet it has less range at 100% charge than this car for sale here. Nothing wrong with the P90D either it's just that it's battery pack's degradation rate is closer to average. Just another reason you'll never find a car like this anywhere else. If I had to do over again I wouldn't have "upgraded" to a newer P90D and would have just kept this car instead. Live and learn.

This car has a clean history and a clean Colorado title w/o any loans or liens. No accidents and no repairs. It's not a new car and as such it will have a few very minor cosmetic scratches, dings and nicks. Nothing excessive and well within what most would consider normal wear and tear for a car of this age. In fact, I'd say it's of well above average cosmetic condition and the new owner will be very please with the overall condition. Especially when you consider that new this car was around $150k plus the $5k to have the Ludicrous option added. You won't be disappointed.

It's been loved it's whole life and it shows. It needs nothing mechanical and everything functions 100% flawlessly. The only reason we're selling is we got a newer one. We both own a Model S cars though and are a 100% Tesla family. Once you drive one you're likely to make the same decision. Being able to "remote start" your car via the Tesla app and set the exact temperature or seat heat is incredible. Having it warmed up or cooled off within minutes w/o an engine running or wasting gas is priceless.

Electricity prices are super low here and our first full month of ownership our electrical bill went up only $14. This same period would have used about $150 in gas. So figure spending somewhere around 10% of the money you currently spend on gas to drive this EV. Most will save thousands of dollars every year from not paying for gas or oil changes. That doesn't even factor in the fewer parts to maintain or have fail (this car doesn't have: water pump, alternator, timing-belt, spark plugs and wires, fuel system, various filters, etc.) or the time you'll save by never having to go to a gas station or oil change again. Just plug it in when you get home at night and unplug it when you leave in the morning. It's a whole new experience in worry-free car ownership that you have to experience to understand.

Not really interested in any trades at this time. Purchase to be cash or funds must clear before delivery can take place. I will not release the car or the title without deposited/cleared funds. There's a higher demand for Tesla used cars than there is availability so you'll find that none of the book values reflect what the actual market is. For whatever reason the "book value" entities seem to be behind the times on how much better a used EV holds it's value than their gas-powered counterparts. Just know up front that your bank or credit union may not finance 100% of the price of this car and you may need to bring a down payment to the closing table to cover any difference. Your lending institution's loan amount does not determine my sale price. If you find one that seems like it's too good to be true, it probably is. Teslas are being used a LOT for scams these days given their popularity. Unlike those deals, we can meet in person and you can see the car for yourself. Beware of non-local deals of cars that seem like too good of a deal or previously repaired/auctioned cars found at dealerships as there's lots of scary vehicles out there right now. Don't send anyone any money or deposit before you see the car in person.
