Am selling a car that I have owned for many years. RUNS VERY WELL, but many 'conveniences' on the car no longer function. No AC is the biggest problem for most people, and the car does not lock, windshield wiper fluid does not work, radio is weird, sunroof no longer opens, some other small things, dents and stuff.
The car rattles a lot going over simple bumps in the road as all of the rubber connective bushings in the front suspension are shot. The mechanic says that it's more of an inconvenience rather than a safety issue. Rides nice on the highway.
Engine and transmission are fine. Middle of November and also in June I drove the car to and from Atlanta, GA - no problems at all. The salvage (junk yard) value of the car is $450. So, if you want a car that runs, can use for a while, then upgrade, you are only out $425. Tires have decent tread, brakes are ok, battery not too old. Would maybe consider putting on new belts.
It would be great if the eventual driver of the car or someone in their household understood had a decent understanding about how cars work. In the future I will be happy to take phone calls from you if you need help understanding something about the car as I've owned it for 12 years.
It is old enough where you can put historic plates on it so don't have to do State Inspection or get Emissions. Technically, with Historic plates, you should only drive it in parades and to your car club outings, but I have never had any problems with the police, even was pulled over once when a headlight was out and they didn't say anything about the plates being 'Historic.'
To buy the car you will need cash. To test drive I will need to see your license and we will ride in the car together, both with masks. I will not allow you to drive the car away with my license plates on it.
