Used SOLD - 2002 F150 FX4 - Bad Transmission - cars & trucks - by owner -... for sale in Madison, WI
Vehicle Description
The transmission started acting up a week ago - unexpected gear changes, lurching in and of out gear, etc. It may be drivable a short distance, but I wouldn't count on it. Assume that it'll need to be towed.
Regular maintenance at Middleton Ford - the 5.4l V8 has never given me any trouble. No dash lights except the 'Overdrive Off' light has just started flashing with the recent transmission problem.
11/22/20 update:
The truck was rear ended about 5 years ago which is when I bought the truck from the original owner. I pulled the box off and had the frame rails (mostly) flattened by J&L 4WD. With the damage to the frame rails I've never trusted it to tow a heavy trailer but it'll still haul as much as you like in the bed. The truck has always tracked straight and true, no odd tire wear, etc from a bent frame / misalignment.
