This 1995 Mercedes-Benz SL500 was originally sold in New York and primarily used on the highway for travel and commuting to Florida. Never used on nasty or salted roads which is evidenced by the clean rust free undercarriage as shown in the picture gallery that follows. Finished in two tone white gray over navy leather, this car had an MSRP of over $100k new and is equipped with nearly every option available including a removable hardtop and a navy soft top. The original white factory hardtop with heated rear window is also included.
SL500’s are also deemed the safest open-top cars in the world with an automatic roll-over bar that deploys in 3 tenths of a second in the event the car overturns.
It also has a Carfax report showing no accidents, 2 owners and a clean Florida title..
This SL500 always receives the best care and still wears the original paint with a beautiful shine. Some minor stone chips and a few small blemishes were retouched and shown in the following picture gallery.
Navy leather upholstery was optioned on this SL500. The driver’s seat shows little wear on the bolsters and there is some slight discoloration in the trunk carpeting. Photos of the dash show no evidence of cracking.
Interior features function as they should, including the air conditioning, power seats, windows, wipers and factory Bose sound system with subwoofer and the remote-controlled anti-theft system. A full-size spare, jack, and tool set are located in the lower trunk compartment.

Power comes from the M119 5.0-liter DOHC V8, which is mated to a 4-speed automatic gearbox. Regular maintenance has always been performed and much of it is documented in the carfax report.
The odometer reads 118,531 miles and a new Delphi engine wiring harness replaced the original biodegradable unit last year, at the same time the fuel injectors were flushed and cleaned, it also received new cam cover gasket and spark plugs. As preventive maintenance, the crank and cam triggers were changed and the cylinders for the soft top actuators were replaced.
