Vehicle Description
The car is a 2003 subaru forester with a tranny and motor swap. It has a 2015 subaru BRZ 6 speed transmission (so it is a real RWD car, not just the cv axles taken out of the stock tranny) and a JDM EJ20 motor. Has a custom made driveshaft that attaches to the stock differential.
I purchased the car in 2017 with the tranny and motor already swapped and daily drove it for most of that time. When purchased, the tranny had 50k on it, probably close to 60k now. And the motor milage was unknown, but jdm engines tend to be lower milage. It runs strong.
Since owning the car I have replaced all 4 struts with KYB adjustable dampening shocks. And paired them with swift lowering springs (1" drop) - both of these parts are for the Imprezza WRX, so it is dropped 1" from the Imprezza stock height
I also put group N strut mounts in the front and OEM strut mounts in the rear.
In august I replaced all 4 spark plugs and spark plug wires. As well as did an oil change w/ filter
The only mechanical problem I had with the car, I had recently (september) was the clutch started to go out. So I pulled the tranny out and replaced the throw out bearing and the upgraded the clutch fork to a beefier one. (BRZ clutch forks are known to be weak) the pivot point for the fork was also replaced with a stronger CNC one. - I'll post pictures.
Since the tranny was pulled the transmission oil was also replaced.
I also replaced the Starter and Clutch Slaver Cylinder during this.
The car is a fun to drive around, handles nicely with the new struts and spring combo. It is a couple sway bars and new endlinks away from handling like an STI. - if you want to go crazy then also STI lower control arms for the front.
Cons:
Some body damage in rear quarter panel
Paint looks like its 17 years old
A/c needs a recharge. Blows air, but not that cold.
Radio is disconnected

-Your high school child who needs a first car
Odometer on the car hasnt moved since I bought the car - I have to double check but it's at roughly 150k
Asking for $5,000 - I'm willing to work with someone on a fair price
