Vehicle Description
Quite a bit of work has been done to this truck over the past years, by myself and the previous owners (I am only the third owner). I will try to include as much as I can.
- Remanufactured Jasper Z24i engine
- New transmission front cover, gasket, seal
- New clutch kit, slave cylinder, master cylinder
- Replaced transfer case
- Remanufactured alternator
- New washer pump
- New shocks
-New muffler
- New tires (around 5-10% used)
- New front grill
- New driveshaft support bearing
- New cap, rotor, plugs, wires, filters, etc.
- New engine mounts, transmission mount (not yet installed)
- New OEM door weatherstripping
- New OEM antenna
- New door panel cranks, handles, trim, and clips
- New Polk speakers
- New floor mats
- New official DashMat cover
- A few extra parts not yet installed
Truck starts up every time, engine runs smooth,
Body in overall good condition, especially considering the notoriousness of older Nissan truck rust. NO RUST on the wheel wells! Cancer has not come close to claiming this one yet. This has been a Georgia truck its entire life. It has its share of dents and dings and wear, just look at the pictures. No paint fading though! Accident free/no accidents, worst dent is on passenger side fender from tree limb.
Came stock, brand new, with no A/C or passenger mirror (gotta love the 80's). Just fine if you love a 255 truck! 2 windows down, 55 miles an hour all day.
Owned by an old man before me, he bought it brand new in 1986, never abused to my knowledge. This is a great candidate for restoration, or leave it as-is and enjoy a fun little work/piddling truck. What it lacks in power, I believe is made up in reliability. I would drive this to California, no problem.
Clean Georgia title. Currently registered and insured. Odometer has a bit over 171,000 miles at time of listing. Will not go up much, as it is not my daily driver. Includes original 1986 factory service manual, pretty hard to come by,
