Used RARE 1985 VW Camper Adventurewagon Superb Condition - cars & for sale in San Diego, CA

Meet the van of your dreams, Navajo. I just finished restoring this 1985 VW Vanagon Adventurewagon Camper. This is a very very rare VW Camper, with a limited number made. This spent most all of its life inland, away from the ocean, so it is extra solid and does not have the usual rusty areas that most all have. All bumpers and bumper trim are in excellent condition. I just replaced the front windshield, with a brand new seal, and there wasn't a speck of rust around the metal. The interior has all of the gorgeous original wood all refinished in a golden pecan/ Sedona Red stain, with a poly coating. The floor was replaced with a water resistant lighter wood laminate with dark trim. All of the original seats and back bench and door panels are in excellent condition, and the front and back bench seats still has the original working arm rests. The bottom sofa folds out to a large bed for 2, actually quite larger than the Westfalia bed, and the top area slides out to a bed for 2 also. All of the windows open with all screens in tact. Fresh curtains in a bright mustard yellow have just been installed, which match the retro mustard yellow/chocolate brown/white pin striping. The bottom foot of the van was painted in a heavy duty truck bed lining, which looks great! Actually, by accident, the colors are those of the San Diego Padres, so any Padres fans will love the colors! The fridge has been restored with a Pine wood front finish, and also has a 2 burner stove, furnace, sink, and a full size grey water holding tank underneath with a drain valve to allow you to dump at a dump station. The tires are brand new, with less that 300 miles on them, along with brand new VW hub caps. ALL doors open and lock, along with a locking glove compartment and the original key. Has a locking gas cap. Motor only has 75k and was replaced with zero miles in 2003, and runs incredible, just had a fresh oil change with 20w 50 oil, a new alternator, new battery, new Bosch Fuel Pump, new gas filter, radiator is almost new, all brakes and clutch work perfect along with the emergency brake. The small interior lights still work, along with an outdoor porch light. Front seats swivel toward each other, has all original beige carpet with brand new floor mats. Comes with original VW jack and lug wrench, 3 spare belts, a new spare water pump for the sink, jumper cables, a tool box, and other interior extra parts. The roof height allows you to fully stand with about 3 feet to spare. Basically, I personally would not hesitate to take this on a trip right now, but with any older VW, I would just have some spare tools to take along. Also, the headliner is looking brand new. I restored this camper with the intention to keep it original, but adding a retro look with some unique style. It still has the original paint, which is not 100% mint, but I think it looks fine for being 36 years old. Feel free to call, text, or email with any questions.
