Used Original 1981 Volvo 245 GLT Wagon - CA Car - - by for sale in Eureka, CA

Original two-owner Ruby Red 1981 Volvo 245 GLT auto wagon. 180K on the odometer but the mileage is not accurate – it is probably more like 210K – the speedometer works intermittently.
The wagon was sold originally in Burlingame CA, and since day one lived for the first 30 years in South San Francisco, CA, where I got the car. I have owned it for 10 years and the car has lived the whole 10 in Humboldt County. It is a complete running driving rust-free original Nor Cal raised car. Comes with original spare tire (mounted once), jack and tools. I also have extra parts I have taken off the car like side lights and pumps and injectors. I also have a Haynes Manual and original rear splash guards and other miscellaneous small parts. Car was originally purchased and owned by my co-worker’s parents. I got the car from them.

Sheetmetal is straight and solid, with the exception of the passenger side D pillar (by the hatch), the upper left portion of the hatch, and the right front fender by the light, which can all be seen in the photos. The cruise control, driver door speaker (wires just disconnected) rear washer and wiper (wiring issue in the hinge of hatch), and a/c (not charged) do not work. The temp gauge reads incorrectly and is likely a bad sensor near the block. All windows, locks, lights, heat/defrost, radio, clock lighter and gauges are in working order. All seat belts work. Glass is in good condition, except for a small chip in the center windshield. Paint overall is sufficient, but there is peeling of the clearcoat on the hood, top, front fenders and driver door. Car is not a turbo but came with turbo wheels.

Car has had a lot of improvements since I got it and a folder of invoices of work done is included. Also included is the original owner’s manual and maintenance guide, original key (w/ 2 extras), and original in the box Volvo dealer cassette of classic songs.

Car has almost new rear tires and relatively new front tires. It has also had front brake work with new power booster installed. New Bosch fuel injectors were put in a couple thousand miles ago. Interior is in original shape, but the seats do have splits in the seams, there are cracks in the dash, and there is some work residue in the rear cargo area. The steering wheel has a flaw on the outside rubber ring.

All in all, this is a cool old school 240 wagon that has a lot of life and potential left and I want this car to go to a place and a person who can appreciate the car and possibly improve it. Car is in Humboldt County, CA. Registration is current through Oct 2021 and I have a clean CA title in hand and the car was just smogged. Feel free to call or txt with questions.
