I spoke to the dealer in Albany today and they said they would be able to give me a loaner car if I drove it down there so I'm not a really motivated seller but the last time I took it down there they said something like they wanted to put a new computer in it that had to be built in Europe (where the car was built, I'm thinking it's BMW). That sounded like another $1,000 easy but I couldn't get a straight answer from them about an estimate.
The odometer I believe says around 120,000 but that's a ballpark figure. There's a little rust on one of the tail-lights and a small dent in the roof. There's a small snag with the paper title regarding my change of name we'd have to wait for too but I don't foresee that being much of a problem.
With all it's problems it still is cute and roomier than other compacts. During the maybe 25 short drives I've had it out I've gotten random people saying I had a cool car.
partial list of repairs: Engine replaced (think it has 50,000 on it), power stearing pump and fan, alternator, serpentine belt, some brake lines, brake sensor, changed shift cables, axle seals clutch release, battery, oxygen sensor (upstream), right front cv axle, right front lower ball joint, left front outer tie rod end, axle shaft assembly, caliper, brake pad wear sensor, alignment, third eye stop lamp, both abs speed sensors, left rear ebrake cable, axle shaft assembly, oxygen sensor, tie rod, oxygen sensor, 3 or 4 tires, starter motor.
