81 380SL Mercedes. 94k actual miles. Two owner car. Car fax History showed car was bought in Honolulu, HI in fall of 1980. The From a production film company. It was bought in 2012 by a horse trainer in Hot Springs, AR.
This car was then put in climate controlled storage unit with service records , start ups, drives, little notes like trickle charge. AC system converted to R12 Freon, windows operated, little notes on a ledger for seven years.
Evidently this guy became sick and took all his toys to Teeter Chevrolet in Malvern. Darry Teeter is brother to Gary Teeter and I are distantly related. Dary took the car to Joes garage in North Little Rock. All fuel lines, fuel filters, fuel pump, actually serviced to a t.
I bought the car from Darry and have spent over $1,500 more to make sure it’s gonna be perfect.

All new fuel injectors, new carbide spark plug wires, plugs, some rubber grommets around the rear tortious bar and so on.
I have tried several times with emails, phone calls, and everything else to get documentation that this very same car was

The hard automobile top weighs about 80 pounds so it’s a two man job to simply use this little lever , included, and 20 seconds later you have a two seater roadster convertible. The fiberglass panel in the rear flips up and a convertible top pops up.
This car was taken care of so well I don’t think the canvas in factory new condition would have to be stretched to snap. Most hard top convertibles have a winch system in their garage. My brother in law had a 500 SL and a factory winch. Simply use the little lever to turn a sunken knob the front. Grab what is despised as a manual rear cranking handle. Pull the handle about 4” back and the rear
Of the top is loos to be lifted, with the windows down, a padded bar slips through the car a padded hook goes under the rear hard top. Lifts straight up flush against the garage roof. My brother in law would put o custom cover over the hardtop to keep dust, birds, any thing to keep the hard top protected.
I have about 30 photos on iCloud but can’t connect. I’ll place them later. I could use this car as a daily driver and would even takes it cross country for a fee if purchased. Tires look brand new but we they were set up so long they might need to be replaced. I’m thinking about rotating them and having the Mercedes Benz original whitewall facing outward.
Couple little things could be tinkered with besides just starting it right up, and driving cross country. I’m still waiting on documentation as the Mercedes dealer in Honolulu said it was a global film giant.
My sister thinks I look like Harvey Weinstein with my full head of white silver gray hair.
Only reason I’m selling is I’ve always wanted an antique pick up truck. Trade are considered.

It starts right up, ready to go, hard top on or hard top off, canvas convertible top up or down. All drive train from breather, cooling system, AC system, shifting system, steering, are all in excellent condition. This roadster has a twin pipe stainless steel exhaust system. When I first got it I had driven it about a month and it started feeling weaker in performance. This was before I had every fuel injector which were original Mercedes recommended.
That was expensive.
Before the injectors, I ran about 6 cans of sea foam through and a cleaning mist for the throttle body. My son used either “starting fluid” and when I turned the engine over about a half o second it backfired with enough force the muffler to separate at the sesm. I will that welded back at Tree Star Muffler. It’s not that but this engines like this one are bumped up and so strong they have over 300 Real torque horsepower.
