this Mercedes has been my daily driver for the last few years and I love it, its such a pleasure to drive. it has 170,000 miles on it and has always been well maintained. I can put you in touch with my Mercedes mechanic to ask any questions you may have. The 4.3 is a great motor and can easily go 300k +. The top is fully functionable and the cloth top is in beautiful condition. It has BF Goodrich Z rated omnidirectional tires with 8K on them. They are the best and grip like crazy, especially in curves. Full sized Mercedes spare. Leather seats with seat warmers that work great. On the front seats the leather is split on the seams but still quite comfortable, I put nice cloth seat covers on them. Of course everything is powerand all work (climate, radio, seats, etc.)
this was my fathers before mine and has always been driven by people over 50. adults can fit in the back, it has two keys, and it has the AMG package.
Now, here are the things that are not working, its a short list.
1. The antenna is permantly bent but not broken. Radio picks up stations great.
2. no wiper fluid. I don’t know if its the pump or a leaky hose. I just clean it at gas stations and go on with my life. The wiper itself works great.
3. there are no interior door handles. I have them they are just broken off. This was a common problem with these years. I tried glueing them back on and failed, maybe you can do better. I just grab the door pocket or the door itself. But the parts are available. Parts to everything are available.
4. The oil light will always come on. This one is a little annoying at first. But everytime you start it up after about 30 seconds the dash will say “oil sensor go to workshop”. There is nothing wrong with the car at all mechanically. You just push a button on the steering wheel and it goes away. But everytime you turn that key the message pops up and you push the button to make it go away. My mechanic can verify its all good. Its just that there are 2 oil sensors and they are a pain to get to to replace. So my mechanic and I figured it was easier to push a button, since there is nothing wrong mechanically. this is a great car with lots of life left. I’ve loved it and taken good care of it. I am a reluctant seller, I just don’t have the space anymore.
According to Kelley Blue book its worth 2800 to 3400 with a 4.4 out of 5 rating for the car itself. But I have to make room for construction stuff, its yours for 2500.
