I just bought this Jetta for some cheap transportation. Then I lost the key. Then I bought another car. I have called around and it looks like I might have to take it to the dealer in Springfield to have a key made for it. I've thought about just bypassing the ignition switch and putting in flip switches like I have done with some other cars. Mechanically everything seems to be ok except the engine is running rough. I took it to O'reily to scan the engine codes. They said is had a misfire on a couple cylinders and recommended I run some injector cleaner through it and see if that fixes it before spending more money on replacing parts. I put two bottles of injector cleaner and a bottle of seafoam in the tank and drove it home and then promptly lost the key. If it doesn't sell soon I will probably take it in and have a key made and give it a tune up and re-list it for more. I'm just putting it out here to see if someone wants it for cheap and is willing to do some leg work. Heat and A/C work great. Sunroof. Power windows. Bike rack included.
