Used Fuso FG 4x4 Overland Vehicle - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle... for sale in Redlands, CA

*Please read this carefully as there are a few caveats with this sale*

This low profile combination of the Fuso FG and the A~Liner Expedition has served me well, but my panels have arrived and I am finally ready to build my custom box on the back of this Silver Fuso FG. Thus it is time to let go of the custom mounted A-Liner Expedition on the back with tray/subframe, and as well, my other truck, a White 2008 Mitsubishi Fuso FG 4x4 with only 62K miles.

About Each Rig...Some Assembly Required

So again to be clear, this sale is for the custom frame/A Liner Expedition combo AND my separate White 2008 Fuso FG. You will need to mate the two to recreate what you see here which would be pretty straight forward. Not plug and play, but pretty darn close.

Quick Notes:
*If you are going to be building a custom box in the future, but still want to roam around in your Fuso during that build, this is the way to go. Otherwise, this is a well built fantastic low profile set up that would serve you well with Overland travel or weekend adventures.

*I may be willing to deliver the A-Liner to anyone within 1500 miles of my location which is Southern California, and can help with shipping of the 08 Fuso FG or delivery of it to a local dealer for repair and/or mating to the A~Liner habitat.

* I don’t know if I would separate the two in the sale but I will entertain the idea if you already have a Fuso or a flatbed truck you want to attach it to.

The 2015 A Liner Expedition Series
~Original unit cost: $18K+
(Current A~Liner EXP prices are $22K to $28K)
I don’t believe this A Liner was ever used for anything but what you see here. The previous owner of this combination was VERY skilled. His workmanship and attention to design and detail can be seen throughout the marriage of the removable unit to the custom frame.
*First, this A~Liner unit can be removed in less than 15 minutes exposing the very functional flatbed. There are 4 camper jacks that slide into each corner of the camper that allow you to lift and drive right out from under it. This leaves you with a functioning flatbed with the easy functional side rails for all your work needs.
The flatbed itself has crossmembers mounted to a lower frame rail that is bolted to the Fuso frame. A normal filler beam compensates for the 8 inch drop in the Fuso frame.
~The subframe storage boxes, the external box mounted generator, and the motorcycle lift come with the frame.
*If you wanted to attach this to another flatbed vehicle this would absolutely work.

Stand alone A~Liner/Flatbed Pricing: I imagine that the time and materials put into the creation of this habitat cradle/subframe and boxes cost somewhere between $10-14K (aka excluding the camper bit).
I would be asking $22K obo, and would try to include a drop off in that plan.

*Again, I am keeping this Silver Fuso you see, and this White Fuso pictured will be available to the buyer.
~This 08 Fuso FG was used on work sites and was set up to move cargo from location to location.
~Never a plow vehicle
~Western States no salt vehicle
~Maintained extremely well with a stack of maintenance records to go with it, as well as possibly some spare parts I received in the purchase.
~Aesthetically in and out it is in great condition with exception of a crack in windshield and some shadow of the company decals which may be buffed out by the time of purchase.

Known issues:
Vehicle starts right up every time. The vehicle can be started in every gear but cannot change between gears. Aka, to move it around the yard I have been starting it in low or reverse. It acts normal after initial movement. Speeds up to limits and slows down to a crawl. Per the previous owner, this FG needs either a new clutch and/or a Concentric throwout bearing/ Hydraulic clutch mechanism. (If the vehicle is in neutral, it starts right up and idles fine. When the engine is off, it goes into all gears but with no clutch action, I have not been able to run it into 3/4/5 gears. Only low, 2, and reverse.) Previous owner said it is not a transmission issue, but one of the above. I can probably give a better description on the phone. Beyond that, no known issues as I am unable to test higher gearing.

Asking $33K OBO for the truck without the A~Liner set up. Undecided on if I will separate the A Liner and the 08 Fuso, but showing a stand alone price on each for reference.

I would be very open to helping you find a shop in my area to work with on transferring the Habitat/Flatbed/Boxes over to the new truck, and as well finding a local shop to work on the clutch issue.

As for a price on the combo, my preference is to sell them together and am happy to have a conversation about this with serious buyers.
