Car has NEVER been in an accident - CLEAN TITLE
The Car has been registered in Washington State, California, and Texas only. No east coast winters
Body:
-The car is the original carbon black
-There are some small paint chips here and there. Again this was a daily driver for me for the past 8 years
-At 90K miles I had rear subframe reinforcement plates professionally installed. There were no cracks in the body, but did this as preventative work and since I had time to do the prep work.
-The spoiler combination on the car (roof and rear trunk) is aftermarket and has a couple bubbles from the paint cracking. New owner can remove at their will as the spoilers are held on with double sided tape
Brakes:
-Car has upgraded Brake Rotors, pads, and stainless steel brake lines from Turner Motorsports
-
Interior:
-Gray Leather interior - Very Clean
-Driver seat is starting to show some wear. But no rips or tears.
-Drivers floor mat has a slight wear spot
-All Electronics Work
-Have Both Keys and they still work - I’ve heard $350 dollars to replace one.
-Harmon Kardon Stereo
-Has the BMW M5 V10 Shiftknob
Engine:
-Engine is incredibly smooth, strong, and sounds great. I make sure to warm up the engine EVERY time before I drive the car. For most of its life I have just driven this car to and from work at a normal pace.
Transmission:
-Smooth shifting with no issues. Clutch has no slippage
-LSD is fully functional
Maintenance: I have maintained the car myself alongside my mechanic father.
-Changed Alternator at 49K. Has been perfect since.
-Changed the oil every 5-6K miles (Castrol BMW M3 5w60 oil)
-I have changed the Transmission oil twice since owning (the last time was 114K miles (Royal Purple Syncro Transmission fluid) I don’t trust the idea of forever fluid from BMW.
-I have changed the Differential Fluid at 70K with Royal Purple Fluid
-Changed fuel filter twice. Most recently at 100K miles
-Changed Cabin filter 3 times
-Changed Serpentine belt and A/C and necessary bearings in last 15-20K. Have the old belts as spares as they are still in good shape.
The Bad
-I’d recommend some new tires - Got the wheels and tires second hand
-The 19" wheels have some rash and are not perfect. But from 10 feet away they look fine.
-The rear shocks have a metal collar that has come loose from the shock boot. I believe the collar is just meant to hold the shock boot in place. It isn’t affecting anything outside of having a small metal noise coming from the rear occasionally.
-The Rear main seal has a small oil weep. Not a lot though as I rarely need to add any oil. This was an issue when I purchased the car. To fix I’m told you likely need to put a new rear main seal when you change the clutch. The reason I have not done it is because the clutch still works great
-On the waterpump pulley there is some slight water corrosion or something like that. I have driven on this issue over the past number of months without issue. I don’t have the necessary tools to address it so I haven’t been able to solve it.
