Vehicle Description

Hey, don't laugh! Car is old enough to be exempt from some annual inspection categories, can be serviced by home mechanic, parts are still available, and insurance is very affordable. No check engine lights when last used. Good around town and great on the highway - was getting 32 mpg at 55-60 mph. Needs new oil seal on transmission end of engine - leak developed just before a deployment so we bought another vehicle. Car has been sitting in driveway since 2006. Interior is good. Repainted around 2003 but has some blemishing beginning. Rear bumper damaged from being pushed in driveway. No modifications to anything so this would be a great project car. Needs: new hood struts, wipers, new battery, oil & filter change, fuel system & brake lines flushed, oil seal replaced; tires have almost no miles on them but are starting to show dry-rot from sitting. Some exterior trim needs replacing. All glass is good. Official Ford shop manuals included, with two new rear struts I never installed and two original hubcaps (the other two were stolen the first week my wife owned the car!). Jack, tire iron, and full-sized spare in place. Car never driven hard or abused and is too nice to junk but we no longer need. Really only needs minor work to get running so price is set to ward off scrappers but be within reach of home mechanic looking for a nice sedan. Contact me for more details. Thanks!
