Classic Dreamcars is pleased to report our 2010 Porsche 911 GT3 997.2 with super-low mileage- SOLD- from the Museum floor. Since GT3's are all about going fast and feeling the power, its no surprise that a Factory Upgraded Engine is part of the changes for this second generation of the 997. A bore increase from 3.9 inches to 4.0 raises displacement improved from 3.6 liters to 3.8 being the first. Then, the bigger engine got hotter cams with greater valve lift and the addition of variable valve timing to the exhaust cams . All together, these changes boost power from 415 horse to 435 and torque from 300 lb-ft to 317. Top Speed 202 mph. The 911 GT3 is bred with a fixed Aerodynamic Wing rather then the 'erector set' version of the RS Model, beefier active suspension, "kinder" seats, and a stouter naturally-aspirated motor replete with forged pistons, lightweight valves and cup tappets, and hollow camshafts. It shines best while pushing at ten-tenths. Feed throttle to the rumbling 435-horsepower engine and its unique centrally-mounted twin pipes 'bark' back in a hungry scream, amplified even further by the 'Sport' Button. At a magical 6,000 rpm, the motor awakens, revealing an entirely transformed 'Stuttgart Stud' which awaits its next velocity-engulfing command. The Sport Button on the dash also sets 14.7 more pound-feet of torque to those Forged Centerlock Wheels (topped with optional Porsche Emblem Polished Caps). Every nuance at the reins also translates to an instantaneous thrust of the wheels.
