2002 Highway Patrol Police Interceptor Camaro B4C

This car is a very rare 2002 Camaro hardtop B4C hard top. This car is a retired state trooper vehicle that was not in service that long.
The B4C was a Chevrolet Production code for the Police package which added numerous performance and handling features as well as better braking with slotted disc rotors and other upgrades. The production numbers of these B4C cars was limited for the 2002 model year, making it one of the rarest options as well and this car is also the rare and highly sought after hard top, in fact an extra-potent ex-police car that was made to be quick enough to catch just about any speeder on the road in its day.
The interior continues the car's stealthy image, and the first impression here is more like a loaded coupe. You have high-back bucket seats finished in a comfy cloth, and yours even power adjusts to the ideal position. There are desirable features like power windows, power locks, dual airbags, cruise control, electric rear defogger, the factory AM/FM stereo, cup holder center console, and ice cold-blowing air conditioning.
The mileage on the car is 119xxx miles. This car has the original untouched LS -1 engine and also has the original 4L60E Automatic Transmission which was just gone through and freshened up 1,000 miles ago by a professional shop. The car retains its original factory rear end. The car has like new Firestone Firehawk Indianapolis 500 tires. This B4C Camaro has been professionally tuned at Tunes by Shane which is Shane Hines, who tunes most of the “Street Outlaw” cars. Shane is amazing at tuning several cars and all his customers have lots of success at the track to prove it. Shane has put a very mild street/ performance tune to this car and it’s an absolute blast to drive. After the tune the car went to the race track and ran a 12.52 at around 110 MPH. The car also won a small Street Stock category race at Gateway Raceway last year. The Camaro runs very strong and drives and shifts in a very confident manner. I have been making many improvements and upgrades to this car during the couple years. I just replaced the rack and pinion , I replaced the fuel pump and went with an upgraded pump, I replaced the knock sensors, I added a much bigger and better transmission cooler than factory for longer transmission life. I have also upgraded the exhaust with a Borla exhaust. There was very little expense spared on this car.
The paint job is less than 6 month old and cost $6000 sparing nothing to get it to look prestige and top show quality. The doors are wrapped with 3M white film and the logos are placed separate with special reflective material just as used by California Highway Patrol.
The car also had two of the antenna holes plugged on the rear drivers quarter but retains one additional antenna on the passengers side rear. The car also still has the Motorola wig wag strobe light controller box in place in the rear trunk area of the car. The headlights have been replaced with factory lights without the strobes but the car comes with ones with strobes used by law enforcement.
This is a sleek, stealth machine like this is rarely made available to the public. In fact, while Chevy has always been a big cop car supplier, there were only a few hundred Camaro police packages (B4C) made at all in 2002, And this particular example is for the kind of person who loves a bit of covert ops.
In conclusion, this is a very nice example of a rare B4C Camaro from 2002. These cars are only going to continue to go up in value as they are getting harder to find and a must for any collector.
