This convertible gives a seriously mean first impression. The black has the kind of rolling shine across the bodywork that it looks like this C5 wants to slip through the night. Just like the outside appearance, the inside has also been treated with amazing care. This one had just about every option box checked, which means it has plenty of great modern features. It includes a leather-wrapped sports steering wheel, power steering, dual airbags, power windows, power locks, anti-theft system, keyless entry/alarm, and dual zone automatic A/C climate control. There's even the windshield head-up display (HUD). Plus, the radio has been upgraded to a modern touchscreen infotainment unit that runs the AM/FM/XM stereo, Bluetooth, and backup camera (purists will be happy to know the stock radio comes with the sale, too.) The leather bucket seats have a deep color, supple feel, and they power adjust to the ideal position. Most family-sized convertibles don't even offer a real trunk, but this personal sportscar has more than enough storage space for a two-person road trip. You can actually go on a golf holiday with the clubs and the luggage neatly stowed out of the way even when the top is down. Now that's a recipe for a great driving weekend!
Under the hood is the original 5.7-liter LS1 V8. This fuel-injected powerhouse looks just as fresh as the rest of the car. Even the clean undercarriage photos show many of the factory labels still affixed. But despite this exceptional preservation, we know you won't be able to resist adding to the low odometer. Corvettes are all built to be driving machines, and this one really understands that. After all, the majority of 2001 Corvettes were automatics, but this one gives you the control over the V8 power with a six-speed manual transmission. It combines with the fully independent sports suspension and four-wheel disc brakes to be a terrific sports car. This even has grippy Michelin Pilot Sport tires.
