This generation GM truck may have had some cool Chevy small-blocks under the hood, but they never saw Cadillac power. So this 500 cubic-inch V8 is unique for both its lineage and it's monster displacement. With this kind of upgrade, it's now unknown If the odometer reflects actual mileage. Topped with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, the motor fires up readily, idles nicely, and makes a terrific rumble out of the dual exhaust. The 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission is a stout unit that knows how to handle a big motor like this, and at the same time, it also shits easily into overdrive comfort. Plus, with power steering, power brakes, and front discs, this powerful pickup is also an all-around driver.
