Vehicle Description
Gorgeous 1979 MGB in terrific condition. Garaged and/or covered most of its life, very well-maintained. Runs like a champ - simple and reliable 4-cylinder engine, 4-speed transmission shifts smoothly and cleanly, good brakes, classic handling. REALLY fun to drive - all the quirky British charm! Whenever I take it out, I receive endless thumbs-ups, lots of questions, and a ton of people saying, "I remember those back in the day." With the top down on a sunny day and the music going. It doesn't get much better!
This MGB is "Pageant Blue." The paint is in good shape - some fading on top areas but no appreciable rust per body shop. Chrome wheels, new radial tires, good front disc brakes, brand new convertible top and battery, full-size spare tire and jack. Regularly and professionally maintained, all drive & transmission components highly functional. Engine temp and oil pressure right where they need to be. Rebuilt electrical system - headlights strong, so drivable at night. Quirky British windshield wiper system - 3 blades are interesting! Comfortable cruiser at highway speeds.
Interior is in fantastic shape, especially for a 42-year old vehicle. Original tan interior, seats are in great shape with no tears or stains, beautiful wooden steering wheel and gear shift knob, heater works well, rubber floor mats cut to size. Controls and dashboard are simple and driver-focused. New stereo system sounds great. Fun to pop the top with two quick latches (opening/closing literally takes about 5 seconds) and roll down the windows the old-fashioned way.
I love this car and am only seeking to sell due to some life changes - I hope that it goes to someone who will appreciate its charm as much as I have!.
