Car History
What can you say about a car that you find that is 42 years old and has only had a verified (by the Title) 2119 miles?
We say Time Capsule! And the cream puff 1979 Lincoln Continental Mark 5 we have here at Adventure Classics is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for you to own such a car.
This Mark 5 is a pristine example of the 1970's with a subtle white paint job, white porthole landau roof, and a plush burgundy velour interior.
Mechanical
Under the hood of our Lincoln is the tried-and-true Ford 400 cubic inch V8 engine that provides plenty of horsepower and torque and a 4-speed Automatic Overdrive Transmission (AOD) which had been developed and was an industry-first transmission that featured both a mechanically-engaged overdrive fourth gear and third and fourth-gear torque converter lock-up.
Everything on this engine and in the engine compartment appears to be all original. It has all the factory parts it came with back then including the fresh air cleaner assembly, blue painted engine and valve covers, air conditioning, power brakes, power steering,
It sits in the clean and factory stock engine compartment and retains all the air cleaner, valve covers, power steering and brakes, air conditioning, fresh air induction, and everything that it came with from the assembly plant back then.
Interior
Our Mark V looks brand new and has the plush burgundy velour seats with armrests in the front and a matching sofa like seat in the rear along. It has the great woodgrain on it and the factory steering wheel, tilt column, instrument cluster with speedometer, odometer, fuel gauge, temperature gauge, and trip computer, a premium sound AM/FM w/Cassette system, Lighting Off-Delay, Air Conditioning, Cruise Control, Power Locks, Power Windows, Key-Pad Entry, Power Antenna, and much more.
All the factory carpet, floor mats, door panels, seat belts, and headliner also look like they have never been touched.
Exterior
The Lincoln has the nice looking exterior color of white over the exposed headlights, white landau top with the porthole window, and all looks as it did when new including the straight looking body panels on this 2119 mile pampered Lincoln.
It has great glass, trim, side trim, the iconic spare-tire styled trunk, chrome mirrors, front and rear chrome bumpers, and side louvers on both front fender panels.
It rides on matched Lincoln hubcaps on factory wheels with thin white wall tires and has great ride and handling.
Conclusion
This 1979 Lincoln Continental Mark 5 we have here at Adventure Classics is probably the lowest milage, nicest original Mark 5's you could ever find.
Don't miss your chance to own this example of classic luxury Lincoln.
