This hot rod of a lowrider is absolutely gorgeous. Standing only a couple of inches off the ground, it is only 45 inches tall. That's all thanks to a ton of custom sheet metal fabrication that went into chopping the roof 4 1/4" from the front, 3" from the rear and installing 10-inch Koni coil over shocks in the rear with torsion bar suspension up front to give that real low stance and lowrider look. All of this work lowered the car 10" and if you add the 4" from the roof you're looking at making the roof 14" closer to the ground. Built by a handful of friends from custom shops out of Springfield Ohio, this is one well put together car. For the obvious, we have the dusk rose paint job and body work done by Warren and Free body engineering and with the custom pinstriping all done by Jungle Jeff. Interior was put together by Lyons Custom Upholstery and Glass is courtesy of Mad Mobile Glass. Under the hood we have a 440 cubic inch big block Mopar engine. That is backed by a 3-speed torque flite automatic. This car is easy to start and drives well (although it's a little low but that's the point, right?). This car also has power steering, power brakes and air conditioning! It comes with the January 1990 edition of Mopar Magazine where this "BAD" 1968 Chrysler New Yorker took center fold with all the history of the reason behind this build and what it meant to the owner. It's a truly impressive story.
