This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS Restomod is one of those awesome cars that takes all that's great about the Camaro, but then adds slick custom touches to enhance the storied tradition of F-body performance. This sucker could probably compete for trophies at top levels, but to be honest, it's way too good of a performance driver just for that. The slick Code R Bolero Red paint is probably better than anything the factory could have managed, and as always, it looks fantastic on the F-body shape. They worked hard to get it into shape, nailing the gaps and prepping the steel to make it look right once everything was said and done, and the depth of the reflections in the body's surface is proof enough. Sure, it's not perfect, there are some imperfections that can be seen upon closer examination, but that's not the point of this car. You don't pack a vintage Camaro full off top-dollar performance parts just for eye-candy, they're in place so you can go out and have the time of your life with the throttle down. A black 'bumble bee' nose stripe was applied with precision, and it and the black vinyl roof provide great contrast to this red-hot F-body, making this car easily stand out in a crowd. It also has correct RS equipment like the popular hidden headlights up front and separate back-up lights out back, plus the requisite ducktail spoiler on the trunk. You'll also find a chin spoiler up front, which works with the overall tough-guy theme on the car, and it's nice that they decided to install a cowl hood but stayed away from the aggressively obnoxious units that make it almost impossible to see out of the front windshield. Chrome bumpers look bright against the slick paint, as does the rest of the brightwork and stainless on this Camaro, and it's all in great shape just like the rest of the car.

A Red and Black combo really is the only interior color that you'd choose on a Camaro like this, and the combination of vintage and new components inside does a great job to continue the performance theme of this '67. A sporty set of deluxe vinyl buckets anchor the cabin up front, with a matching rear bench set-up in the back, and the beautiful red upholstery is contrasted with black inner accents and black seatbelts to mirror the color dynamics of the exterior. Black carpets are correct and fit snug atop sound deadening insulation, the factory-style door panels are in excellent shape, and there's a center console with a custom shifter in the middle that manages the Tremec TKO 6-speed manual below. Factory gauges were swapped-out for elegant Classic Instruments units ahead of the driver that keep a more accurate eye on the LS6 under the hood, and the billet steering wheel is mounted atop a tilt column that gives the driver a lot more room in the cockpit. A modern JVC AM/FM/CD/AUX radio slots neatly into the original spot and yes, this sucker is air conditioned (what, you thought all that extra power under the hood was going to go to waste?) via a full modern R134a unit that blows ice cold.

The modern 5.7L LS6 under the hood brings big firepower with awesome torque production, and with the responsiveness of modern fuel-injection it's very dependable and can pretty much shred the tires at will. Clocked in at 418 horsepower to the rear wheels, the modern engine pulls this F-body with ease, and with a beautiful swap that looks like the motor was practically born in this car, it can be serviced in the future at any Chevy dealership. But don't worry about service quite yet, because this entire drivetrain has less than 1k miles on it, meaning it's barely broken in and will dominate for years to come. Modern fuel injection and electronics ready the motor for battle in a flash, and the engine bay is beautifully presented with custom red-and-black valve covers, a blacked-out intake cover and cold-air intake system with a large cone filter, and a big aluminum radiator that shines bright against the neatly painted red inner fenders and flushed firewall. There's a serpentine belt drive system for the accessories and thick long-tube headers that are tight to the block, obvious signs that this Camaro isn't like the others. The engine starts with a wonderful bark from the Flowmaster dual exhaust system and pulls like a freight train, as you'd expect. The chassis was is super clean with red floor pans and black subframe pieces, and it includes a Hotchkis sway bar and adjustable coilovers in the upgraded front end, sub-frame connectors, trailing arms, and a heavy-duty 12-bolt rear end out back, because, obviously, you're going to need some serious hardware to manage all that power. Smooth shifts are ensured by the high-end Tremec TKO 6-speed manual transmission managing the gears, and power steering and power 4-wheel disc brakes ensure a great ride every time out. The ride height is aggressive but not overly slammed, so it looks right sitting on Torque Thrust-style polished wheels wrapped in performance blackwall tires.
