Used 1959 Nash Metropolitan for sale in Burbank, CA
Vehicle Description
This adorable little car has been my pride and joy since 1976 (I was 8 years old when we bought it). My Dad and I restored it in 1985 and it became my day-driver while I was in high school and college. In 1988 I threw a rod and had to replace the original engine with a spare I had collected along the way. it is from a 1958 model that I bought for parts. I have been able to garage it for most of the 45 years I have owned it. It was originally white and yellow, but I liked red so in 1985 we painted it Chinese red and snow white. I had it professionally repainted in 1998 keeping the red and white two-tone paint colors. My Dad who had been building and racing cars since he was 14 was also a skilled upholster. He hand sewed a custom "tuck and roll" style black and white seat upholstery in addition to the custom door panels. The tires are white walls, and I have a full-sized spare tire and extra bumper plus several extra hubcaps included. The engine has an oil leak and I have already purchased the gasket to fix it, but sadly my Dad passed away this year. This was our hobby car together and now that he is gone I want to find a new home for it, someone who will love it as much as I have over the years. The engine starts right up and purrs like a kitten. Come take it for a test drive!
