Used 1956 Ford Fairlane for sale in Mesa, AZ
Vehicle Description
The Raven Black and Fiesta Red is a striking color combo, and so it's even more impressive when you find out that this is the factory-correct two-tone. And while it was born in these colors, it was refreshed later in life to retain a proper luster. There's extra care in the brightwork details. You see it in the front, where the grille tapers inward to make the stylish bumper look even more commanding. And the rear bumper has the dual exhaust integrated into the wraparound corners. Plus, the full-length trim divides the two-tone, the window surrounds draw added attention to the pillarless hardtop profile, and the wheel covers have a classic design with the Ford family crest at the center. It all makes for a coupe that really looks upper-class
The full two-tone style continues inside. Possibly the most attractive place are the custom seats that have terrific details like the perforated inserts and red piping. Not only do these seats feel fresh, but also the dash is smooth, the door panels match, the carpeting is plush, and the headliner is in great condition. It makes this a great place to spend some time, especially with some key upgrades. So while the original AM radio is still on display, the real tunes come from a more modern Sony AM/FM/CD stereo with USB input placed in the custom under-dash console. And since the air conditioning is blowing nice and cold with modern R134a refrigerant, it makes it even nicer to roll down all the windows on and cruiser around in this pillarless hardtop. The driving experience still keeps all the right vintage details, right down to the classic/grippy steering wheel. But there's also an added auxiliary gauge trio so that you're fully informed when you drive.
This is an M-code coupe, and so it's great to have a year-correct 292 cubic-inch Ford Y-block V8 still under the hood. They were borrowed from the Thunderbird, and so it earns the badging on the fenders and valve covers. While this engine bay looks correct and tidy, there are also the right upgrades that drivers want. It means extra power with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and Mummert intake. It's also supported by the right pieces, like the 12-volt electrical system and an aluminum radiator. It's an all-around good cruiser with a Ford-O-Matic three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and front disc brakes.
Complete with owner's manual, this hardtop is built with all the right features for those who love to show off something substantial and detailed. So if you love getting those lingering stares from other drivers, this one's ready to deliver all weekend long. Call today!
