An all-steel, original-style 1935 Chevrolet coupe body is a true rare gem. The styling is iconic, but most of these were harvested for hot rods decades later. In fact, we were told this was fully restored in 2006 (just check out the ultra-clean undercarriage photos) and that it's an AACA Senior Award winner. The original Chevy steel is straight, complete, and beautiful. The two-tone green and black is the right kind of color combo for a 1930s machine. It's not perfect, but on a car nearing the century mark, it will get people talking. Nothing on this coupe looks out of place from the swan hood ornament, to the chrome bumpers, to the covered spare in the rear. And we especially love how the cream wire wheels match the full-length pinstripe.
The interior is pure 1930s-style, too. The broadcloth looks great, and it has the classic pleated look across the plush bench seat. Classic motoring means a large grippy steering wheel and a dash dominated by classic gauges. No one has tried to spoil this time machine atmosphere with aftermarket parts like air conditioning. Instead, this thoroughly correct interior means raising the front cowl to get your ventilation the way they did a few generations ago on your family tree.
The butterfly hood is always a great way to get extra attention, and within the engine bay is Chevy's dependable inline six. This 206 cubic-inch motor looks absolutely spectacular with the clean gray block paint, smooth firewall, AC oil bath air cleaner, and overall tidy setup. But more than just look great, the notes on the firing order and clean wires signal that this one was made to be enjoyed. So it's a strong runner that fires up like today was 1935. You have full control over the robust motor with the floor-shifted three-speed manual transmission. It all makes for a true classic that you'll love to run it around town.
