Vehicle Description
For sale is my 4Runner, a complete RCI skid plate and rock slider system, and rear storage/security box. I can remove the RCI system and storage box if the buyer is not interested in these items.
4Runner $43,950 – Full RCI Skid/Rock slider system $2250 – Boss Strong Box $1000. TOTAL: $47,200.
I purchased this vehicle new from San Francisco Toyota on August 22nd, 2018. I’ve been the only driver. It has been exclusively used to commute between Burlingame and Sonora, CA, then from Sonora up to Dodge Ridge Ski Resort. It spend half its life in my garage, and the other half in my gated driveway. The back seats have been used less than 10 times, and my wife has sat in the front passenger seat mayyyybe 30 times. Point being, its in great shape, with almost entirely highway miles.
I purchased this vehicle with the intention of making it a rock capable overlanding rig. I quickly learned I would need to dump another $50k into it, just to make it do what I desired, and even then, my buddies in Jeeps would be more capable. I ended up buying a fully built Jeep from a buddy shortly after. As of the last few months, I don’t have a commute anymore, so its not justifiable to keep this great rig around.
Extras on the 4Runner:
I put the FULL RCI aluminum powder coated black skid plate and rock slider system on. Details of the exact parts can be seen in one of the pictures. This is $2,956 if you order it now. I also have all the stock skid plates and running boards.
I put a Boss Strong box in, which creates a solid/level platform in the rear and gives a MASSIVE lockable storage drawer underneath. Details in pics. This is $1249 if you order it now.
Custom brown/coffee colored leather interior does not show dust/dirt!
Fumoto Valve – just turn a valve to empty the oil, which means no removal of the skid plate for oil changes. This was $40.
“Always on” 12v and USB power to the rear cargo area. Also, a 24hr a day LCD voltage gauge, so you can always see what level your vehicle battery is at. This was $250.
Front driver/passenger windows tinted with 3M lifetime warranty tint. Extra layer added to rear cargo window to darken it more. This is the perfect tint combo, and cops will never give you trouble. . This was $250.
BFG KO2 Triple Peak Winter 285/70R17 tires, with 14,000 miles driven on them. Was $1250 when new in December 2019.
OEM Black emblems. This was $220.
Other Info:
This has the KDSS "kinetic dynamic suspension system" which is a highly desired option, and it makes a huge difference in how the 4runner handles both on/off-road. Also has Navigation, Premium Sound, touch screen, etc.
Full TRD Off-Road drive systems package, including manual transfer case.
This is a TRD Off Road model with leather added. To obtain KBB value, Select TRD Off Road Premium, then deselect “power passenger seat, moon roof, heated seats” and this will give you proper value. My 4Runner does NOT have power passenger seat, moon roof, or heated seats.
