Used 2012 Nissan Juke - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle automotive sale for sale in Kaneohe, HI

Not currently running, but it was working great. Still looks great, and when it stopped working, all accessories and a/c worked properly. A person with automotive knowledge can fix this.

A few months ago I was getting off the freeway and then the Juke felt like it was running on 3 cylinders. It wasnt smoking, nor was there water in the oil, or oil in the water. So I parked it. I was thinking a fuel injector went bad, thats what it felt like. OBD2 said it was a misfire, so I replaced the spark plugs, camshaft & crank positioning sensors, and it still wouldn't run right.

So I had it towed to a mechanics up the street. They did a compression test, which was fine, and decided to replace the high pressure fuel pump on the engine. That didnt make it work either. That unnecessary repair cost me $500. They then wanted to check the timing.

After I read about a Nissan Juke timing chain service bulletin, it seems Juke timing chains stretch a bit over time, causing the timing to be a little off after 60K miles.

I had it towed to Windward Nissan. Nissan said the timing chain needed to be replaced and that would cost me $4400, its a labor intensive job.

So I towed the Juke to my friend's house, bought the updated stronger timing chain, crank seal, accessory belt, and replaced them. Comparing the old chain to the new one, I could see that the old was was half an inch longer than the new one. But it still wouldn't come to life.

Im positive the engine isn't blown, I wouldnt even have attempted fixing it if it was. While it was sitting the in tank fuel pump stopped working, so I replaced it with a new one as well.

Life without a car was hard, so I bought a new one. I simply don't have the knowledge to fix it.

This car has been in my family since it was purchased new at King Nissan. so I know everything about this cars life.

Im looking to get $2000, thats what Ive put into since it went bad.

Other things, 3 of the 4 tires are brand new, the 4th has plenty of tread. Also Battery Bills replaced the North Star battery in September. It went bad while sitting also, and that comes with a full 4 year replacement warranty. The radiator/fan/controller, were replaced within the last year. Safety expired two days ago, and registration 3 months ago. All 4 brakes were done within the last year. It only got top quality stuff like Royal Purple oil and Wix filters. Trans fluid was drained and filled with every oil change since 50K miles. I treat my vehicles well!
