Vehicle Description
I am selling a Subaru legacy GT. Turbo 4 cylinder, 6 speed transmission, very fun car! All the luxury features you could ask for from a car from this era including stock premium harmon kardon stereo, all leather interior, driver and passenger climate control, heated seats, bluetooth car phone, all weather floor mats and trunk mat, etc. AC blows cold and tires have decent tread, ready to drive with no work needed. Some describe these cars as the "gentleman's WRX" due to the similarities in the engine/transmission, but much more mature and luxurious.
I put a lot of love into this car hoping I would own it a very long time. Unfortunately due to losing my job I can no longer afford payments.
WORK DONE
A couple years ago, due to the previous owner using a shady mechanic, the timing belt gave out and it was also discovered an exhaust valve had been burnt up. This resulted in the whole top end of the engine being replaced with new parts (heads, valves, everything) meaning the whole top end of this engine is brand new from subaru. Additionally all major maintenance has been done on this vehicle, All work was done by a reputable subaru dealership and I have paperwork for it all. After putting nearly $10k into maintenance this car is now VERY mechanically sound and has been daily driven like this for over a year now with no issues. I was hoping to keep this car a very long time and did not want any issues from it. Work done includes:
brand new cylinder heads on both sides including new valves, head gaskets, etc (whole top end is brand new)
timing set
water pump
clutch
all necessary recalls including rear wipers, airbags, electronic parking brake etc
new tires in 2018
intake gaskets and TGV
viscous coupler replaced for AWD system
other normal maintenance etc.
Most subaru's around this mileage (especially turbo ones) are getting dangerously close to needing expensive work done like timing belts, clutch's, head gaskets etc, and all of that has been done on this car by a dealer with paperwork to prove it. This should be one of the least riskiest subaru's you could buy apart from buying brand new.
