Used 2010 Ford Ranger XLT 2WD 5-speed - cars & trucks - by owner -... for sale in Mukwonago, WI

Feeler ad for my 2010 Ranger. I hate to part with this truck, but life circumstances are changing and I need something a little more kid-friendly with a safe back seat.

A little about this truck: I bought this two years ago with about 70k on the clock. It now has 115,000 and has been incredibly reliable in that time. In that time, I had one ball joint as well as the u-joint replaced, and that's really it as far as repairs. I replaced all four shocks with Bilsteins last year. The ride is firm but not jittery - just don't expect a Cadillac ride, it's a light, short-box regular cab truck, after all.
Engine runs perfectly. I always run synthetic Valvoline which is honestly probably overkill for this engine, and it does not leak or burn any between changes. The 5-speed transmission clicks into every gear smoothly. The last guy who owned the truck was a grandpa, and I drive like one, haha, so there's plenty of life left on the clutch and it disengages and grabs smoothly with no issues. For me, having a stick in this truck makes the driving experience. It has such a great old-school feel with the long throw, and is very forgiving for new stick shift drivers. I also routinely get 25 mpg average with this setup.
It has a mild lift that was professionally installed, and will come with a set of 235/75r15 BFG all-terrains with good tread unless those sell separately first. Currently, it has a set of 215/75r15 Firestone Winterforce snows on it that are new as of this season. I usually run the cap during the winter and don't really bother with any extra weight - the cap adds enough, and with the snows and the AdvanceTrak stuff, this truck does just fine in snow and won't get sideways unless you really do something dumb and/or turn off the traction control. I thought about removing the lift before listing it, but figured I'd see what the interest is with it on. If it's a deal-breaker, I can look into getting it returned to stock height before a sale. Previous owner installed an adjustable air-ride suspension in the back, which works really well for leveling the truck when it's loaded up for camping trips.

The interior is super-clean and has never been smoked in. I currently have an aftermarket head unit in it, but will include the original one.

The body is also super-clean. The paint is in great shape and has a ton of gloss. Ok... rust. Everyone knows there's no such thing as a "rust-free" Wisconsin truck, so I'll be forthright. Ever notice how most Ranger ads will leave out the cab corners from the pictures? That's because they ALL rust there, lol. Seriously, don't overpay whatever dealers are trying to charge for a ten year old Ranger that's hiding a ton of rust under the fender flares, under the bedliner or in the rockers and cab corners. When I bought this truck, there was very slight bubbling around the rocker-cab corner seams, as well as on the bottom seam of the passenger door - also a spot where all of them seem to rust. I treated these spots with por-15 and have kept the truck immaculate, and they haven't gotten worse since I've owned it. The frame is 100% solid, and I've kept it treated with Fluid-film every fall and spring to keep it that way. The one other rust spot is at the very front of the box, also a vulnerable place for every Ford pickup. I also treated this with por-15 and it's holding up well. You're welcome to check everything out fully in person. What you see is what you get with this one. I think you'll find that if you look at other trucks in this state, this one is WAY better than average and should have a long life before the rust becomes an issue.
