Vehicle Description
Sharp looking Mini Cooper with a freshly rebuilt N14 turbocharged 1.6l engine. Everything works. Needs nothing but a new owner.
Rebuild happened at 122500 miles, break in of motor complete with fresh oil change now at 124700 miles. Head work was done by Aluminum Head Rebuilders in Portland. Lower block work done by AutoSport in Seattle. Both camshafts reground by Oregon Cam Grinding Inc, Vancouver WA. Final tune done by Precision Motorworks in Seattle. Rebuild included new pistons, rings, exhaust valves (intake valves where reground), bearings, seals, gaskets, head bolts, timing chain kit (to include new bolts) VANOS solenoid, water pump, coolant, drive belt, spark plugs, coil packs, throttle body, turbo bypass valve and oil catch can. The turbo oil cooler line was upgraded to a stainless steel braided line and the turbo charger oil return line is new as well. NO CHINESE PARTS used in this work, all parts where either OEM or an OEM manufacturer. The turbo was new at around 90,000 miles and is in great operating condition, no play or leaks.
Brand new Motegi MR116, 17x7 rims at 108000 miles, with 205/45-17 Toyo Proxe4 Plus tires. New the tread depth was 10/32 of an inch, one tire is new(2000 miles on it) due to a sidewall puncture. The other three have 8/32 inch of tread. All four tire pressure sensors are working. Has H&R lowering springs with factory struts on all four corners.
New brakes to include drilled and slotted rotors with new ceramic brake pads and complete brake fluid flush.
6 speed Steptronic, with paddle shift automatic transmission has new filter and fluid flush. Transmission is solid and shifts great in all six gears.
Has the double sunroof (Panorama roof), power steering, power brakes, AC, ABS, Sport Shift package, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), foglight/driving lights, 10 speaker factory stereo with CD player, auxiliary input and Harmon/Kardon amp, factory rubber floor mats in front carpet mats in back, complete set of factory owner manuals.
Interior and exterior are about 8 out of 10 in my estimate. A few blemishes on the interior. No dents or dings on the exterior but the black portion of the rear bumper and the front bumper cover could use a respray. The black hood decals have some blemishes and there is some clear coat cracking on the hood as well. All four wiper blades are new, the windshield has fresh RainX and the body was just waxed.
A blast to drive! Very quick and cornering feels like being in a go-cart, yet it still gets around 34 mpg on the highway and about 28 in the city. Even has a boost gauge installed so you can watch when that turbo kicks in! My plans for this car changed dramatically, partly due to COVID, right after I got it all sorted out and running right again.
KellyBlueBook top end price for this car is $6800, but that does not factory in a completely rebuilt engine with 2000 miles. My price already has me taking a pretty significant loss from what I just put into it. Used car lot asking prices are even higher at many of the ones I just researched on-line.
