Used 2008 Dodge Ram 1500, V6 - Runs but needs work for sale in Peachtree City, GA
Vehicle Description
The truck has been a very good truck. It doesn’t leak oil or any other fluids. I just did front brakes on the truck and have the rear pads for it that I haven’t put on yet that I will include. It also has a new radio that was installed recently.
My son who is in Alabama at college was driving the truck. Last week he told me it was starting to stutter. I went to Alabama with my wife to pick up the truck and bring it back to GA. I drove it home from Birmingham. The truck made it home, but it definitely feels like it’s having a fuel issue. When cranking it takes a few pumps of the gas pedal to get it started. Once it’s started and sitting idle, it runs ok and once it’s up to speed it runs ok. But it definitely struggles once it gets to about 40-55. In that mph range it struggles to accelerate up to speed.
The truck is not perfect by any means but it has a good engine. It definitely needs a tune up and possible fuel injection work. But with a little work it is a great little truck. My son drove it for 3 years and we never had any problems with it at all before this. It is definitely worth the asking price.
I have title in hand. I am only available on weekend as I work out of state. I would love to sell ASAP as we are moving to FL soon.
