Vehicle Description
I've had this car for 3 years, only selling because I'm moving to Europe at the end of the year. Not a daily driver, I used it mainly for errands or grocery runs, going to campus every now and then, going to the beach, or long weekend trips. Only put in 15k miles in the last 3 years, taken good care of, and all service records are available.
If you don't know the car, it's a 2-door coupe with a hatchback and seats that fold. 5-speed manual transmission. Model comes with sunroof and rare spoiler, and also aux input and some souped up sound system. Really fun car if you like driving, and plenty of trunk space for big trips (car camping, luggage, whatever). Also fits a 8ft surfboard very easily (as shown), if you surf. It really is the perfect budget/student car for cruising California. As you can clearly tell, I love this car, would not be selling if I weren't moving.
Just got a pre-sale inspection done this week at the dealership (Toyota El Cajon) so you don't have to, happy to share the report (with optional repair estimates) with serious buyers, but you can also take it to a trusted mechanic yourself if you want.

It IS a 13-year old car, so there are some minor cosmetic imperfections and other issues (listed below), but no major electrical or engine problems that needs work, and the interior is in really good shape (other than the surf wax). I've never had to take it in for any kind of work (other than regular maintenance, oil change). I got new tires right after I bought it 3 years ago, and got a new battery myself a year ago.
I still need the car until ~Dec 2, but you can come check it out/test drive any time before then.
known problems:
- hatch door handle broke off, and is glued back on (doesn't handle pressure well, be gentle)
- visible scratches on the left front side (see last photo, marks in the other photos mostly just dirt)
- surf wax on passenger seat, just scrape it off
- tire pressure monitor light always on (and has been since I got it)
from presale inspection:
- check engine light on due to EVAP leak (can give you the code)
- lower engine shield torn off
- drive belt cracking
