Vehicle Description
The truck has the following additions:
-Great aftermarket front fog lights.
-Front and rear bumper guards (rear somewhat dented).
-The body is coated in bedliner up the mid-point.
-Full size spare w/an additional brand new full-size spare w/rim we’d give you.
We have done the following repairs/maintenance:
-New brakes front and back (April, 2020).
-New steering tie-rod end (April, 2020).
-New sparkplugs (March, 2020).
-New air fuel sensor (March, 2020).
-New upgraded Bilstein 5100 rear shocks (June, 2019).
-New cam crank sensor (August 2019).
-New 02 sensors (July 2019 & April 2020 for each bank).
-New ignition coil #1 (July 2019).
-Oil changed regularly using Mobil1 Extended Performance High Mileage Formula fully synthetic oil.
However, it has several issues that need to be addressed:
-It periodically codes P0430, “Catalyst Efficiency System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2).” This is extremely common in the Xterra model and it has no impact on its performance. It was able to pass inspection this past year, despite sometimes coding.
-It has two significant suspension issues. Front lower control arms need to be replaced. Second, rear leaf springs are worn out and the driver side leaf spring has a snapped leaf.
If you're interested in converting this truck into a trail vehicle, this is a great choice because it needs suspension work anyway. However, if you get the control arm and leafs fixed, it's also just a great all-round SUV.
