Have you been dreaming of a long road trip?
The Lexus LS460 is legendary as a fast, quiet, comfortable, road car. I bought it two+ years ago to drive on some long road trips. It was amazing and served my needs well. The included photos were taken on some of these trips.
Some younger guys like to pimp these cars out with large wheels and low profile tires for urban style, but I kept it dead stock for my purposes. All the maintenance is up to date and you could take off for Florida tomorrow if you wanted.
I bought it with 100k on the clock and now it’s up to 122k. This one appears to be the base model. Lots of gadgets, but it doesn’t include some of the troublesome options you find on the higher models. This car probably cost around 70k when new.
I was surprised at the fuel mileage, around 27 mpg cruising at 90. I read that the LS460 has the lowest aerodynamic drag of any production car made at the time, which probably helps with the mileage. As far as I know there is only one part not working - the driver’s side mirror does not fold in when you park.
It has a very upscale Mark Levinson stereo system with an active Sirius-XM subscription
