Used 2006 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon for sale in Daly City, CA
Vehicle Description
I have gently wheeled this jeep all over NM, TX, and CA and it is extremely capable. The factory locked Dana 44s, 4:10 gears, and 4:1 transfer case let you slowly let out the clutch while the jeep climbs itself up whatever obstacle is in front of you. You don’t even need to touch the throttle; it will do all the work for you! I had planned to put a winch plate and winch on and do the Rubicon trail this summer, but plans have changed so I’ve decided to sell instead.
I’ve only done a few modifications to the jeep. I installed a 3” BDS lift w/sway bar quick disconnects, which is fantastic for daily driving, but has a surprising amount of articulation (see photos). I also installed an LOD off-road rear bumper/tire carrier combo that has Poison Spyder frame ties for towing, and a hi lift jack. The LOD tire carrier is customizable to add on jerry cans and a rack if you want. It has 15” pro-comp wheels with 33” Goodyear Duratracs with plenty of tread left on them. I recently replaced the head unit, factory sub-woofer, and speakers. There is also rubber floor mats with perfect carpet underneath. I replaced the windshield a couple of weeks ago too because there were rock chips from desert driving. I changed the oil last September with Mobil 1 synthetic and have only put about 250 miles on it since, though I did start it and let it get up to running temp often.
It has a clean title and is currently registered to MN. I just went and did a smog check and it passed easily, so it is able to be registered in CA. The smog certificate will be valid for 90 days, so you don’t have to worry about getting one done.
Known flaws: The passenger window was broken and replaced, so the tint doesn’t currently match the driver’s side, but it’s barely noticeable. There are some small spots with surface rust (some pictured) that would be easy to fix if you choose but it’s completely cosmetic, cost of living on the coast. There is some rock rash on the undercarriage, and the fenders. I was planning to put flat fenders on, so I never replaced the damaged fenders. There was a recall on the clutch interlock switch that I haven’t replace because all the switch does is stop you from starting the engine without pressing the clutch. Anyone familiar with manual vehicles knows that it’s a hassle when this switch is working and many people bypass it anyway.
