Vehicle Description
The time has come to sell my favorite ride. For the past couple of years, this thing has been my home, daily driver and off-road rig. I am selling due to the fact that my travels are becoming more extensive in the backcountry and as a landscape photographer I simply need more room for my gear.
This thing has been to almost every state out west and traveled on thousands of miles of backcountry roads in some places where few people rarely go. I’ve put 50,000 miles on it since late 2018 when I bought it and would have put 50,000 more if I wasn’t selling it. This car is reliable, smooth riding and outfitted to take you anywhere off road that isn’t crawling with large rocks and boulders.
It has been to the high desert of Utah, the mountains of Nevada and everywhere in between.
Here is a list of what has been done to the vehicle:
- King Lifting Springs all around
- KYB Racing struts all around
- Subtle Solutions rear saggy butt spacer (1in)
- New Valve Cover Gaskets
- Koyo Rad racing radiator at 100k
- NGK Iridium Spark Plugs and Wires
- Valve Lash check at 105k was perfect
- Primitive racing steel skidplate for protection
- General Grabber AT/2 (x5) - 95% tread
- Sparco Terra Racing Wheels (16in) (x5)
- Yakima Timberline rack system w/ shovel carrier
- Custom fabricated heavy duty folding rear tire carrier
- Custom made trunk storage hatch with spare tool area
- MLS Headgaskets with previous owner
- Timing belt and water pump replaced as well
All major work on this vehicle was done by the famous Superior Soobie in Milwaukee, Oregon. I lived in Oregon for a bit with this car being my daily driver and trail rig but have since moved back with Dad temporarily in western NC to be closer to my girlfriend and to save some money during COVID. I just bought a new truck and don’t need this anymore and would love to see it go to a good home.
This rig is really reliable and could easily go well over 200k with the right maintenance and eyes behind the wheel. There is a small crack in the windshield that my insurance wouldn't cover so I just left it. I would like to sell this to someone who is as passionate about Subaru’s as I am and who will actually take care of it and use it like it should be used. It’s a tank!
