Bought truck to tow my boat and use for various yard projects when needed. Boat is gone, yard is good, don't need the truck. I thought I was going to keep it, so I put a bunch on money in it, but we never go anywhere anymore and it needs to go to a better home where it gets used. Very comfortable and solid truck, runs great, would drive it anywhere. I had a bunch of the "common" issues fixed, so it is pretty much trouble free...and it's a Tundra, so it will last forever.
The Good:
V8 runs smooth, no leaks whatsoever
All options function as they should, 4WD, sunroof, stock radio (JBL Factory Premium System), locks, windows, rear sliding window, heated seats...etc. This truck as every option but the Navigation System.
Entire rear end/axle was replaced: including new shocks, brakes and bearings. This was a common issue with these trucks due to Toyota using thin metal on the rear diff and they would rust through. The entire rear has been coated with chassis paint and is pretty much bulletproof. It will not rust.
Entire charcoal canister assembly under the truck has been replaced as well as the EGR purge valve in the engine bay, along with the O2 sensors chasing down a Check Engine light. No codes are present. All factory parts were used. Truck runs smooth and strong.
Right front sway bar end replaced to fix clunk in the suspension.
Brand new headlights and side marker lights.
Truck has stock Toyota plastic bedliner with rubber mat. It had a cap on it for most of it's life, so the bed is in very good shape.
The Not Too Bad:
A few small dings in the sides due to use and age of truck
There is a dent above the passenger side taillight. The previous owner did paint over it, so it is not rusting.
Small road rash specks in the paint, some have a little rust in them.
