This is Saab's version of the Subaru Impreza wagon. Engine, transmission, and chassis are all Subaru. Saab modified these cars by upgrading safety features and interior comfort and reducing road noise.
I purchased this car in April 2019, and at that time, it had about 124,000 miles. I was using it to ferry my child to and from daycare, and the car is no longer needed.
Before I purchased it, the previous owner replaced (at time of sale) the head gaskets, timing belt, water pump, and pulleys. The catalytic converter was replaced in July of 2016 (103,464 miles). Tires, clutch, and radiator have less than 6k miles.
In the year and a half (1,500 miles) that I've owned it, I've replaced the following:
The oxygen sensors
The exhaust resonator assembly
The brake pads and rotors
Repaired a seized brake caliper
The starter
The battery
I also recharged the A/C when I first bought it and fixed the leak. I have receipts for all the repairs I did and some from the previous owner.
The car runs great, and I was using it daily, but I haven't driven it regularly for months now, so it's time to move on. The body is in great shape, but the paint has peeled on the rear bumper in a few spots (see photos). It's a Subaru boxer engine, so I check and top off (as needed) the fluid levels every time I get gas.
I have a copy of the Carfax from when I bought it. The car has never had any accidents reported and has always maintained a clean and clear title.
I wish I could keep this super fun uncommon car, but I can no longer justify having an extra vehicle.
