Used 2005 Jaguar XK 8 - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle automotive sale for sale in Vancouver, OR

This 2005 Jaguar XK8 convertible had been registered in California since new and was acquired by the seller in February of this year. Its 4.2-liter V8 drives the rear wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission, and the car is finished in Slate Pearl Metallic with a black soft top and a Warm Charcoal leather interior. Modifications by the prior owner include chrome mirror covers, and side light accents. Maintenance in November 2020 included changing the engine oil and filter. Now showing 87k miles, this XK8 is offered with an owner’s manual, manufacturer’s literature, service records since 2013, and a clean Washington title in the seller’s name. Also included is the hood (top) cover/Tonneau, adjustable wind deflector and a light weight car cover. All keys are present, as well.

The exterior is finished in Slate Pearl Metallic (LHL). The power-operated black convertible top has a glass rear window and is said to have been installed just prior to the prior owner's 2012 acquisition. Chrome surrounds for the side-marker lights and fog lights were also added by the prior owner along with chrome-trimmed Jaguar badges on the fenders. The February, 2020 Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage.

The interior is finished in Warm Charcoal (LEG) leather with burl wood trim on the upper dash, doors, and center console. The car is equipped with automatic climate control, and the factory stereo has been retained. The seller notes small cracks in the clearcoat around the gearshift, barely visible in the photo.

A four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel with burl wood inlays frames factory instrumentation including a 170-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,800-rpm redline, an analog clock, and a combination gauge for fuel level and coolant temperature, while gauges for oil pressure and voltage are located in the center stack. The digital odometer shows just under 87k miles, approximately 4k of which have been added by the seller.

The 4.2-liter DOHC V8 was rated at 294 horsepower and 303 lb-ft of torque when new and drives the rear wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission. Service in November, 2020 included changing the engine oil and filter. By this model year all of the earlier model issues with timing chain tensioners and guides, cylinder lining, etc. had been corrected. This is the best year for this model Jaguar, IMHO.
