Overall condition is good to very good. Body is rust free.
Has a clean title in my name as owner. Has no significant mechanical issues, except as mentioned below. Runs very well and pulls strong, was used for towing. I towed my 30 foot 5th wheel camping trailer all over the US with this truck, and I'm unhappy with having to sell it. I no longer have my trailer and the truck is too much for running to the store for groceries. I have a coolant filter kit and the Ford Factory Service Manuals that go with the truck. The interior is grey cloth upholstery with no rips or tears, although it needs a good deep cleaning. The exterior has a few parking lot scratches and scrapes, but there are no major dents and the paint job is still shiny. Tires are in fair condition. Truck is a little cold-blooded but runs fine once warmed up. Could almost tow Rhode Island if you could find a place to hook the chain.

The BAD:
I had service done on the fuel filter at a Ford dealership in Idaho about two years ago. About 200 miles later, the truck started acting up. It was still driveable but had no power and was laying down a screen of white smoke under load. Over the next year or so, I took the truck to three local mechanics who each found problems, but who did not cure the main driveability issue. Truck developed a miss and a turbo howl. Replacement of six of the fuel system sensors, two of the fuel injectors and the variable turbo and control module finally fixed the problem. Examination of the fuel sensors indicated some kind of grit got into the fuel system and destroyed the sensors and injectors, and blocked the oil passages for the turbo controller. Once the system was backflushed and new filters were installed, the problems went away. I suspect the dealership in Idaho introduced the problem into the fuel system when they did the service, but its only a suspicion.

The UGLY:
There are a series of cracks in the paint on the roof of the pickup. I'm told it is a common Ford issue; the seam sealer Ford used that year shrinks with age and leaves the paint unsupported underneath. The paint cracks and water gets under it and eventually you have a monster hole rusted in the roof. The local body shop quoted me $1900 to repair it. I covered the cracks with EDPM rubber roof sealer to prevent water intrusion, and stop any possible leakage. I don't intend to fix it further.
This has been a working truck and needs to be driven daily. When it sits for long periods, things break down. I no longer use the truck, but mileage and normal wear and tear will continue accumulate while the truck is up for sale. Kelley Blue book was used to determine the asking price which was then discounted to account for the roof issue. It is not a new truck. New trucks cost sixty thousand dollars. Its a very good used truck. My price is pretty firm, I wont respond well to any lowball offers or to outright scammers. The truck is located in Port Angeles WA.
