Vehicle Description
Clean title. PLEASE READ FULL DESCRIPTION BEFORE RESPONDING :) Car is fully operational and there are no issues with driving, but it has multiple issues that can be fixed.
I'll list issues below. My husband bought this car in 2014. In 2015, my husbands engine "blew up" and he spent $3,000 for the whole engine to be replaced. The new engine was not brand new, it had some miles on it, but we do not remember how much. Unfortunately we do not have proof of this from the mechanic, but I am sure someone who knows cars can tell that the engine is not from 2003. We don't remember the exact amount of miles on the odometer when we got the new engine. Basically, the body of the car has 180,000 miles on it, but the engine has far less. We just don't know the exact amount. Also, the car comes with tinted windows.
List of issues:
-The car's air conditioning practically does not work. It takes about 5 minutes to blow out *slightly* cool air.
- The trunk needs a replacement handle. You have to open the trunk by putting the back seat down and opening it from the inside (easier to explain in person). We have put a string on the inside handle and we can show you what we do to open the trunk.
- Minor cosmetic issues like scratches/scrapes on front right of car.
- There is an oil and transmission leak. Nothing actually leaks underneath the car though. This has been a problem for a year but it has not caused any issues. My husband got his oil changed last week (we can provide proof of receipt) and neither his oil nor transmission fluid was very low after a year with this leak, so it must be very minor. But I want the buyer to be aware.
We are aware of the value of this car. This car with the same mileage gets sold for around $6-$7,000 without these issues I'm assuming, thats why we are asking for less than half. Someone can repair the main issues if they want to (they don't need to for this car to function). The reason we are selling is because my husband and I are moving to Phoenix and we can't drive without strong air conditioning.
