Used 2004 Kia Sorento EX 3.5l have new head gaskets, timing belt/water... for sale in Wenatchee, WA

This is a screaming deal for someone that is savvy with replacing head gaskets on a vehicle. Here’s how we got here and what you’ll be getting for a steal.

Bought the car for our daughter and granddaughter. It worked fine with a couple minor issues. One somewhat high idle and valve cover gaskets leaked. Changed the idle control module but no change. Lived with the leaky valve cover gaskets. Then we got a misfire detected in cylinder 4 and purchased new coil pack for that cylinder that also controls a cylinder on the other side of the block. While I was at it, I replaced the old plugs that were definitely in need of replacing. Then I changed the oil and topped off the coolant. Took it for a test spin. The high idle disappeared immediately which is what I suspected, good so far. Running fine for a few miles then sputtered. Turned around and headed home. Got to the next light and she died. White smoke from the hood. Experience told me blown head gasket. Got it home the next day and yuppers, mocha in the dipstick. So bought all the stuff for the repair, but am seriously needing to get it out of here. I can’t get to it for quite a while or I would do it myself and have an engine with new plugs, head gaskets, head bolts(they sent 2 sets), timing belt, water pump, hydraulic tensioner, all gaskets needed to put it all back together.

The blue Book in Good condition with all the bells and whistles this has is $2,800. Its an EX with 3.5l v6, leather heated seats, moon roof, awd, anti lock brakes(just installed new pads), premium sound system, recharged AC, cruise, power locks and windows. You name it, they put it on this model.

I also purchased an online manual for the repair, so that goes with it as well.

If you’ve got the time and expertise, you’ll have a $2,800 car for less than half that including all the parts in hand to fix it. You’ll have to have it towed as it does not start, nor would I want to try. If its within a mile of the college, it could be towed slowly to your place. If its longer, that’s not a good idea.
